The Camp Billings Directors and Board of Directors stand in solidarity against racism. We are deeply saddened by the death of George Floyd and countless others from acts of racially charged injustice and police violence. Black Lives Matter as do the invaluable and historically underreported contributions of the Black community. We must work harder to amplify those voices.
As summer educators of children and young adults, we have a duty to model diversity, inclusion, equality and equity. At Camp Billings, we strongly believe that all people should be treated with respect, and dignity. At Camp Billings, we will continue to strive to celebrate the diversity among our campers, staff, alumni and throughout the world. However, we recognize that we have not done enough to foster racial diversity in our community. We must do better. We know that summer camp is life changing and it is our responsibility to make this transformational experience available and safe for all children.
We welcome and accept all people of any race, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or religion. We openly support full participation of everyone in the life and program of Camp Billings.
